Admission
The length of visitor stay is estimated at two to three hours, making the experience
comparable in length to a feature film. Since visitors expect to pay a reasonable fee for
such and experience, the general admission fee of $5.00 for adults will be set.

Category Fee
General Admission for an Adult $ 5.00
General Admission for a child age 6 to 16 $ 2.50
Seniors, Military, & Group Tours
of more than 12 individuals $ 3.00 (each)
School Groups $ 1.00 (each)
Lower fees for school groups and group tours make the facility more attractive as a
destination, and encourage visitation in those categories.

Gift Shop
The gift shop will offer appropriate materials including exhibit-related items,
historic/contemporary related items, publications, videos, and books. Based on figures
from the Museum Store Association, the shop is projected to gross $2.00 per capita.
Admission fee is not required to gain access to the shop. This allows the casual buyer
or visitor on limited time with the desire to purchase access to the opportunity.

Membership
A regular membership program for local or regional residents provides benefits of one
year free admission, discounts in the gift shop, and notice and discounts to programs,
lectures, and classes. A corporate program, aimed at supporters and corporate members,
includes benefits such as free passes, designated space, and special recognition.

Special Events
Designated weekend activities and special ticketed events on an annual or quarterly
schedule provide fund raising opportunities. The museum can expect to receive
requests for the use of the facility for meetings and special events.

Lectures and Classes
Lectures and classes, family programs, film festivals, scholarly symposiums, publications
and book signings, as well as debates and discussion groups will provide a plethora of
educational opportunities. Some of these will be revenue-neutral, serving as marketing
devices, but others will be subscribed to, invitation only events to increase revenue.

Grants, Contributions, Memorials, and Remembrances
Given philanthropic resources of the community, region and state, and out-reach to
national resources, along with the high visibility of the institution, the museum projects
an income of $30,000 as reasonable and achievable goal.

Endowment Fund
Annual drives shall dedicate an amount of 10% of net admission fees toward an
endowment fund. As the endowment fund grows it will begin to provide a source of
annual revenue.

Traveling Exhibits
The museum will be a host for traveling exhibits related to science and natural history.
This will provide opportunity for new and exciting learning experiences. In offering
new educational material a draw is created for people to continually return to the
museum for a holistic experience.
